Back on the CVS Bandwagon

CVSIt’s been awhile since I shopped at CVS. My stockpile here at home was pretty big and we had pretty much everything we needed (toothpaste, toothbrushes etc…) I stopped shopping at CVS for awhile in order to use up the stockpile before we moved. We are packing ourselves so the less to pack and move the better.

We’ve since ran out or gotten super low on our supply of certain things. CVS has some great deals going this week that I couldn’t pass up so off to the store I went this morning.

Keep in mind my OOP (out of pocket) cost is higher than others might spend because I had no ECB’s (Extra Care Bucks) to start with. Now that I’ve earned ECB’s my OOP cost will go down.

Order #1

3 jumbo packages of Pampers 3 x $7.99

Coupons used:
$2/1 Pampers
$2/2 Pampers
$3/$15 CVS coupon

Total $18.39 and earned $5 in ECB’s

Order #2

1 Duracell 4 pk of AA batteries $2.99
2 Listerine Smart Rinses 2 x $3.49
1 Oral-B Cross-Action Manual toothbrush 2 pack $6.99

Coupons used:
$.75 Duracell
$1.00 Listerine
$1.00 Listerine
$3/$15 CVS coupon
$5 ECB’s

Total spent $6.81 and earned $13.97 in ECB’s

Now I have $13.97 in ECB’s to spend on my next trip AND I’m super stocked on diapers. All of the things I bought were things we needed and use. With the exception of the Listerine Smart Rinse. It’s new and we’ve never tried it before but we will use it. I think it will be fun for the kids to try (and it might help make sure they are brushing their teeth good enough).

I’m happy to be back in the game! It’s no fun paying full price for things just because you run out.
