Earning Money With Your Blog - 2 Things You Need to Know About First

It’s “Money-Making Thursday” again and I will be continuing my series on “A Money-Making Blog”.

If you are looking to earn money from home a blog can be the way to go. Or maybe you already have a blog and would like to make something from it to help pay for your monthly web-hosting fees (or maybe just a pedicure or new book). Whatever it is a blog can help you pay for it.

I’ve already written about setting up a blog and given suggestions on how to make money with advertisements.

But in order to succeed in earning an income from your blog you are going to need visitors to visit your site. How does a money-making blogger do that? How do they reach and keep new readers? Write quality content? Increase traffic to their site?

The answers to those questions and more are best left up to the professionals. These are the two that I turn to for advice, guidance, and ideas.

SkellieWag.org - There is not a visit to this site that does not get the creative wheels turning in my brain. Quality, interesting and thought-provoking content will capture new readers and keep old fans coming back; and Skelliewag will help you create that. Skellie is an amazing writer & teacher and will soon be featured in her own weekly column at ProBlogger. Which brings me to the next resource you need to create a successful blog.

ProBlogger - Run by Darren Rowse (who doesn’t give exact numbers anymore, but is making amounts in the six-figures from blogging) ProBlogger gives you the basics and more of building a blog. He shares years of experience and knowledge, which can be overwhelming at first, but reading an article or two every day will improve your blog and help you reach your goals.

I hope these two resources help you like they have helped me. I continue to improve and grow from the things I learn from them and hope you do too.
